The Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a computer-based English proficiency test started in 1982AD that assesses the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills of non-native English speakers. Over 3 million individuals took part in this test annually in 2021. The test score validity is for 1-2 years. PTE test scores are widely accepted by universities, colleges and governments around the world for academic and immigration purposes.
Format of PTE test
- Speaking and Writing= 30-35 Questions, 54-67 minutes
- Reading= 17-19 Questions, 30 minutes
- Listening= 20 Questions, 35 minutes
